Besides the new Huawei Pura 80 series, the MateBook Fold Ultimate Design was quietly released. This is actually a full-screen laptop that is foldable, combining high-end display technology, a powerful chipset, and productivity-focused features in a sleek, lightweight design.
The Tech Specs
The MateBook Fold has a 17-inch Flexible OLED touchscreen with a resolution of 2560×1920 and a 3:2 aspect ratio. When folded, it transforms into a 12.3-inch compact device. The screen also boasts a 120Hz refresh rate, 1000 nits peak brightness, 10-point multi-touch, and P3 wide colour gamut.
Under the hood, it is powered by a 13th Gen Intel Core i7-1360P processor, paired with 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and a 1TB NVMe PCIe SSD. As expected, it is running on HarmonyOS NEXT, offering a unified multi-device experience across Huawei’s ecosystem, enabling seamless connectivity with Huawei phones, tablets and smart accessories.
On that foldable design, the chassis features a magnesium alloy body with a high-strength carbon fibre hinge. Weighing approximately 1.337kg, the laptop remains compact and also comes with a detachable magnetic keyboard and a built-in Huawei M-Pencil 3 stylus.
Last but not least, the 75Wh battery supports fast charging via a 65W USB-C adapter, with intelligent power management. Below are some additional features of the MateBook Fold

Price and Availability
There are two models for the MateBook Fold: 32GB of RAM and options for 1TB and 2TB of storage. Each model is also exclusive to three select colour models: Forging Shadow Black, Cloud Water Blue and Skyline White. As the first foldable display laptop, it has a high price tag, starting from 23,999 Yuan (~RM14K). Currently, this laptop is on sale exclusively in the Chinese market.
