After launching the Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2 in August back in China, the company's latest tablet has made its way to Malaysia. Priced at RM4,599, the pre-orders are now open until 11 October 2024, with exclusive deals and freebies bundled for interested customers.
To recap the tech specs, the MatePad Pro 12.2 features a 12.2-inch Tandem OLED PaperMatte display with a peak brightness of 2000 nits and a 2,000,000:1 ultra-high contrast ratio. Moreover, the PaperMatte screen technology reduces glare and eye strain, allowing users to work for extended periods without discomfort, making it ideal for long hours of reading, sketching, or video editing.
In addition, the tablet also has a Glided Keyboard which is a 2-in-1 stylus and keyboard storage and charging design. What this means is that it can be used as a keyboard while storing and charging the Huawei M-Pencil (3rd Gen) at the same time. Speaking of the stylus, it supports up to 16,384 levels of pressure sensitivity.
In collaboration with Akademi Seni Budaya dan Warisan Kebangsaan (ASWARA), Malaysia’s premier arts institution, Huawei has also integrated Local Batik Drawing tools into its GoPaint app. This is an exclusive feature that allows users to use traditional Malaysian batik art in a digital format with a range of custom batik brushes and a specialised wax outlining tool.
The tablet is available in Premium Gold and Black variants. Pre-orders for the MatePad Pro 12.2 are now open and early customers can enjoy a bundled gift which includes a Glide Keyboard, M-Pencil (3rd Gen) and Huawei Bluetooth Mouse.
