A recent pre-order listing from Lazada Singapore has revealed that the Huawei P40 5G and P40 Pro 5G could be launching there on 4 April 2020 for 1048 SGD (~RM3176) and 1448 SGD (~RM4388) respectively. This could hint at how much the Huawei P40 series might cost in Malaysia considering that it is closer to home.

Previously the Huawei P40 5G was launched in Europe for 799 euros (~RM3845) and while the P40 Pro 5G went for 999 euros (~RM4808). With a more than RM600+ price difference, this is quite big all things considered. European prices have generally been around RM200 or so more in the past.

The listing doesn’t reveal much more information that is new except that they could be launched on 4 April 2020 in Singapore. The previous release in Europe said that they would be available on 7 April 2020.

Free gifts in the Singapore pre-order bundle include a flip cover and Freebuds 3 for the P40 5G worth 296 SGD. The P40 Pro 5G will be getting a flip cover, Watch GT2 Titanium, in-Car Charger and wireless charger worth 562 SGD.

Quite obviously there were no Malaysia release dates or official Malaysia pricing details, but they shouldn’t be too far off from the Singapore pricing above, maybe even cheaper? What do you think?
