Huawei Malaysia has officially announced that the Huawei P40 series has been unveiled starting from RM2799 for the P40, RM3899 for the P40 Pro variant, and RM4999 for the P40 Pro Plus variant. You can pre-order the Huawei P40 and the P40 Pro from 3 April until 10 April 2020, while the Pro Plus will be available somewhere in the near future.
Those who pre-ordered the devices mentioned will to be delivered to them from 11 April 2020 onwards, while those who prefer to check out the products out in person can head over to either the Huawei official stores or any of their partnering stores nationwide after the MCO or you can check out our hands-on video. In terms of the tech specs, the P40 comes equipped with the chipset mentioned above, 8GB RAM, up to 128GB of internal storage, 6.1-inch OLED display as well as a 3800mAh battery. Camera-wise, it has a 50MP UltraVision + 16MP ultrawide + 8MP telephoto camera as well as a 32MP front-facing selfie camera.
The Pro variant, on the other hand, comes with largely the same specs as the P40 except that it has a larger 6.58-inch 90Hz OLED Display, larger 4200mAh battery, up to 256GB ROM and a 50MP UltraVision + 40MP ultrawide + 12MP SuperSensing camera in the rear. The Pro Plus is a step up from the Pro variant, due to the fact that it has a 50MP UltraVision + 40MP Ultrawide + 8MP 10x telephoto + 8MP 3x telephoto + ToF sensor Penta camera setup instead.
As for the features, the P40's camera is able to achieve up to 10x zoom while the Pro, as well as the Pro Plus variants, are able to achieve up to 50x and 100x zoom. Other than that, they've also introduced the Celia virtual assistant which allows the user to utilize various functionality via voice commands which will be available on all P40 series smartphones.
