Today, Huawei Malaysia has finally unveiled the Huawei P50 Pro and P50 Pocket for the Malaysia market. These two phones were already first unveiled back in 2021 so we are here to talk about the price tags and pre-order details if you are interested in getting one.
Starting with the P50 Pro, there is only one variant and it's priced at RM4199 officially. As for the company's foldable device, there are two variants based on memory and colour which are - 8GB + 256GB for RM5999 in white and 12GB + 512GB for RM7299 in premium gold. The pre-order for the P50 Pro starts today (12th) until the 21st of January 2022 while the P50 Pocket's pre-order begins on the 22nd of January until the 13th of February 2022.

As a refresher, the P50 Pro is powered by two chipsets but for the local set, the Malaysian market is getting the Snapdragon 888 chipset version albeit without any 5G capabilities. The pro model features a 6.6-inch OLED curved display and supports a 120Hz high refresh rate, 300Hz touch sampling rate and FHD+ resolution. Moreover, the 4360mAh battery pack also supports 66w wired charging and 50W wireless charging technology.
The P50 Pro features a quad rear camera comprising of a 50MP (main) + 40MP (monochrome) + 13MP (ultrawide) + 64MP (telephoto) setup. The telephoto sensor also supports OIS, 3.5x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom. Besides the 13MP front camera, there is a bunch of new camera features such as the XD Fusion Pro that doubles the amount of light and increases the dynamic range level.

On the other hand, the P50 Pocket is also using the same SD888 chipset (4G-only), a 6.9-inch OLED 120Hz display and a 4000mAh battery supporting a 40W SuperCharge technology. There's also an exterior 1-inch Cover Screen that will show incoming notifications, schedules, calendars, music, weather and many other features. It can even show a mirror for taking a selfie.
To the camera corner, the P50 Pocket features a 40MP (main) + 13MP (ultrawide) + 32MP (telephoto). Like the P50 Pro, it shares a few new camera features such as the True-Chroma, Ultra Spectrum technology, as well as a 10-Channel Multi-Spectrum Sensor and an Ultra Spectrum illuminator.
