Huawei P60 series could feature a new Ultra variant to replace the Pro Plus

Last month, it was reported that Huawei could unveil new P60 and Mate 60 smartphones in March 2023. Most likely, the launch would happen at MWC 2023, which is scheduled to run from 27 February to 2 March. Sources suggest that the Huawei P60 series could have a new variant.

According to a tech blogger (via Weibo), the Huawei P60 series would come in four flavours this time - P60E, P60, P60 Pro, and P60 Ultra. The Ultra variant is obviously the new model here, and it's expected to feature the best tech Huawei currently has. But since there's no Pro+ variant this time, this could be more of a name change for the sake of marketing, rather than a new device 'class'.

The source also posted a render of what could be a device from the P60 series but didn't confirm whether it's the Ultra variant. If the render is indeed the Huawei P60 Ultra, that would mean its primary camera would have a large sensor. It also comes with an ultrawide camera, plus what seems to be a telephoto camera. Besides that, the device features a matte orange back cover and a golden metallic frame.

Now that CES 2023 is over, we can expect more MWC 2023 coverage in the next few weeks. If you're interested to see what Huawei has in store this year, stay tuned to TechNave.com for more updates!
