It's Merdeka Day 2020 next Monday and promos are popping out everywhere now. One of them is a combined effort by Huawei Video and Astro to offer users a "Merdeka Bundle" for the occasion. Huawei has said that this campaign is meant to support local movie producers.
From 29 August to 16 September 2020, you'll be able to purchase an RM20 movie bundle from the video-on-demand (VOD) platform to binge. Specifically, you will be allowed to watch a total of eight movies listed under the Merdeka Bundle. There will also be a Wira, Horror, and Family Bundle available. Moreover, Huawei Video users will be able to watch the local-made horror movie 'Pusaka' for free.
Besides that, there will be a 20% discount for Astro movie not included in the Merdeka Bundle. Huawei Video users also stand a chance to redeem prizes with every purchase of the Merdeka Bundle. There's a total of RM60000 worth of prizes, including Huawei P40 smartphones, so make sure you take advantage of the campaign!
