We are just about a month away from Huawei's upcoming flagship, the P40 series to be unveiled. But before that, the company recently held a launch in London showcasing their latest technology pieces such as the NetEngine 8000 Series Intelligent, a monetization solution for 5G and more.

I guess we can start with the NetEngine 8000 series first, it's Huawei's and also the industry's first E2E 400GE routers designed for 5G connectivity and the digital cloud era. Why this seems significant is because according to Daniel Tang, CTO of Huawei's Data Communication Product Line, this is "to address the network challenges in the 5G and cloud era" such as the rapid development of services such as Cloud VR/AR, 4K/8K, and site-to-cloud private lines, as well as the traffic which is estimated to increase by 10 times over the next 10 years. In other words, it's able to carry full services with the likes of 5G mobile, home broadband, private lines, and cloud to help operators to build a simplified network with optimized investment.

Rockred Zhang, President of Huawei Software Business Unit, launch 5G SA network-based monetization solution

Next up, the company also launched a new Convergent Billing System (CBS) R20 which is also the industry's first-ever 5G SA network-based monetization solution. Already deployed over the stc Kuwait 5G SA's network where "Dedicated Access" was offered to enterprises with guaranteed Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Huawei said this helps their partners to achieve monetization of all levels - individuals, households and enterprises - under a unified billing system on a fast pace. One fine example of this is an online upgrade that allows operators to test new function in real-time, which shortens the project cycle from 4-6 months to just a month or less.

In addition to that, Peng Song, President of Huawei's Carrier BG Marketing and Solution Sales Dept, also announced the release of a cutting-edge 5G network, which is intended to help operators achieve commercial 5G success. The network includes a series of product solutions, such as the simplified radio access network (RAN), smart IP network, ultra-high-bandwidth transport network, green connections, and AI-enabled end-to-end 5G services.
