Based on a report by Reuters, it seems that Huawei’s CEO Ren Zhengfei has recently made a statement hinting that Huawei could potentially focus more on software development in the future in order to alleviate the effects caused by the trade ban. With that being said, Huawei could potentially ramp down their smartphone manufacturing if they do start focusing more on software.
With that being said, do some of the information with a grain of salt, due to the fact that nothing has been confirmed. However, there were hints of developing an Open Source software that will be used to build upon existing products such as HarmonyOS, Mindspore, and more.
