For four years and counting, Huawei is known for coming up with a wide variety of rear camera designs. So what's new this time? Well, it seems that Huawei could offer another crazy rear camera design with a mini secondary display.
According to sources, Huawei submitted a design patent as early as last year but the China National Intellectual Property Administration only approved it just recently on 14 August 2020. Looking at the camera design, the mini secondary display could be placed in three different ways - in between the four cameras, on top, and the bottom as well. Knowing the history of secondary displays, it could probably be used for telling time and other notifications.
If we had to guess, this could be for the next Huawei P40 series early next year. The camera design has always been a rectangular manner whereas the upcoming Mate series rumours are said to be circular. Also, it's too late for a patent to be approved at this period since the Mate 40 series is just around the corner.
