Chinese tech company Huawei has come up with their latest line of Windows 10 laptops in Berlin, Germany today. Namely the MateBook X, MateBook E and the MateBook D.
To kick off the event, CEO of Huawei, Richard Yu made an appearance to introduce their flagship laptop, the MateBook X. Weighing only 1.05kg, the flagship MateBook X is a 13-inch laptop smaller than an A4 paper and only 12.5mm thin. It is even thinner than the 12-inch Macbook at 13.1 mm. The screen display has an extremely thin bezel at a 3:2 screen body ratio with the main body consisting of a full aluminium unibody design for a real premium feel.
It is also worth noting that the MateBook X will also be featuring a fingerprint scanner on the on/off button for ease of access.
The MateBook X specs and features are equally as impressive and are as listed below:
- 7th Gen Kaby Lake Core i5/i7 processor 2.7GHz
- 4GB/8GB RAM
- 256GB/512GB SSD
- 2x USB Type-C Ports (Charging and Data Transfer)
- Dolby Atmos Sound System
Next comes the MateBook E which was typically the upgraded big brother of the original MateBook. Upgrades include a jump from 1080p to a 2K display, nine hours of guaranteed battery life and a big improvement on the connecting magnets for connecting and disconnecting the tablet.
While the MateBook X was aimed for high-end users that were on-the-go, the MateBook D is a 15.6-inch laptop that was aimed for the mainstream market. The Matebook D has varying specs from 7th Gen Intel Core i5 – i7 and SSD options depending on what price you choose. Some models may even have NVIDIA GeForce 940 MX GPU for those casual gamers.
