Huawei nova 7 SE Malaysia release: Kirin 820 chipset and 64MP AI quad-camera for RM1499

When it comes to mobile devices, style is just as important as the function for many people these days. So, it's not surprising devices with emphasis on both aspects. Today, Huawei has announced the nova 7 SE smartphone, which will officially launch this Friday (19 June 2020) for RM1499.

Available in three colours of Space Silver, Midsummer Purple, and Crush Green, the nova 7 SE is a mid-range device with good specs. It comes with a Kirin 820 chipset inside, along with 8GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, and a 4000mAh battery supported by a 40W fast-charger. The display is fairly large too at 6.5-inch, with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 resolution and support for HDR10.

Next, let's talk about the cameras. At the back is the quad-camera consisting of a 64 MP main camera, 8MP ultrawide lens, 2MP macro camera, and 2MP depth sensor. With the quad-camera, you get features like Super Night Selfie, 20x zoom, and the Dual-View Video mode that combines the front and rear camera to capture videos from both sides. Speaking of front cameras, it's a 16MP punch-hole selfie camera.

Other than the new smartphone, Huawei also announced that the FreeBuds 3i will be launching this Friday for RM399. This is Huawei's latest true wireless stereo earbuds that will come with active noise cancelling and touch controls. It's expected to have a total playback time of up to 18 hours (earbuds + charging case).
