During their recent global analyst summit in Shenzhen, Huawei showed a slide teasing their first Huawei 5G mobile hotspot set for Q2 of 2019. They also revealed what could be their first 5G smartphone, which is presumed to be the Huawei Mate 30 in the second half of 2019 which also indicates when Malaysia and other countries could start seeing the full implementation of 5G networks.

To give a little information, 5G is the 5th generation of the wireless network technology used to transmit and receive data similar to 4G LTE. The difference is that the 5G network is able to transfer data up to 10 times faster than the speed of the 4G LTE. Celcom previously showed off their 5G efforts while we assume that other telcos are also hard at work laying down the 5G foundations. When do you think this technology would be available in Malaysia?
