Huawei says rumours of receiving 5G chips from Qualcomm is fake news

Previously, there was a wild rumour circulating online that Huawei would be getting 5G chipsets from Qualcomm. It's best to take news such as this with a pinch of salt and Huawei just debunked it entirely.

The confirmation came from Yu Chengdong, Chief of Huawei Consumer Business Group, who straight out said it was fake news so it wasn't accurate at all. How the rumour started because of some leakers online claiming Huawei 5G returning this year, due to supply restoration, technology breakthroughs, external 5G and so on. But many of them were debunked as well.

The alleged news of Huawei returning to 5G may sound exciting at times but premature publicity may not be a good thing. It's also unfortunate that after years since the US government blocked the company, Huawei had to survive by itself in the Chinese market and it's a miracle that a few markets still support the company such as Malaysia.
