In the last few years, Huawei has been working hard to develop its HMS software. The company plans to use it on a variety of platforms and one of them would be vehicles. In fact, it has been confirmed that HMS will be used in a new luxury sedan.

According to Yu Chendong, CEO of Huawei Consumer Business Group, HMS will be installed in the latest Mercedes Benz S Class for 2021. Specifically, you will be able to use different third-party apps inside the car. There will be apps for reading the news, watching videos, and playing games.

Huawei will be using its HMS Quick Apps with this new car, which allows you to use apps without installing them in the in-car system. This is useful for apps that may not be available on the HMS App Store yet. Currently, we're unsure if the system will include the HMS App Store to let you download additional apps.

Hopefully, this platform will be available in cheaper cars in the future. With that said, what kind of apps do you think would be useful in cars? Let us know in the comments and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
