John Vinh from KeyBanc Capital Markets recently released a statement, claiming that there could be a possibility Huawei smartphones such as the Huawei P50 and Mate 50 series could come equipped with Qualcomm chipsets instead. This is largely due to the fact that the United States government unveiled a new set of rules which makes it harder for Huawei to access manufacturing hardware from the country.
However, there’s no news on whether Huawei’s mid-ranged and budget-ranged smartphones will be affected or not. With all that said, do take some of the information with a grain of salt, due to the fact that Huawei has yet to provide an official statement about the claims made by John Vinh.
