Huawei will appear at the IFA 2018, most probably showcasing the Kirin 980 chipset

So it's official, Huawei will also show up at the upcoming IFA 2018 event in Germany and while we're not expecting any new devices from them, it pretty much hints that they will showcase their latest processor - the Hisilicon Kirin 980. Why do we say so? Because they did the same thing at last year's IFA event with the Kirin 970.

We have written about this before a few days ago, so this is what the rumours say about the new Kirin 980 chipset - the CPU will have an octa-core set with a quad-Cortex-A77 and quad-Cortex A55. The Kirin 980 is said to be even smaller than the current processor measuring at 7nm only. That's pretty good news considering the fact that the smaller it is, the less power consuming it will be, but that's just on paper as we haven't counted in other hardware stuff such as the cameras.

Moreover, you can also bet that their own Neural Processing Unit and the recently announced GPU Turbo to be on board too, with the news source claiming that it's much stronger than the Adreno 630 by 50% (wow). The Balong 765 will probably be included alongside the Kirin 980, being able to support LTE Cat.19 download speeds up to 1.6Gbps.

We will get more information once IFA 2018 hits off the show. Until then, stay tuned for more Huawei news at TechNave.com.
