Today, as the 13th annual Hurun Luxury Summit, Huawei was awarded the “Smartphone Best New Arrival” for the Mate 9 for its innovative features and outstanding user experience, which includes the Kirin 960 processor, SuperCharge technology and the new UX.
Hurun Luxury Summit results are based on the results of the Hurun Report Chinese Luxury Consumer Survey (CLCS) 2017, it is also widely regarded as an ISO9000 for China’s luxury sector, which has become a benchmark for the CLCS for tracking the changing entrepreneurial landscape in China, such as brand preferences, consumption habits and lifestyle trends of China’s wealthiest individuals across a range of industries.
Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei Consumer BG, accepted the award, commenting,
“Huawei has developed innovations that support a superior product experience and pioneered premium quality with luxury craftsmanship, which is embodied by the HUAWEI Mate 9. Over the past ten years, Huawei has invested over 38 billion US dollars in R&D. Moving forward, Huawei will continue to collaborate with the best global partners and will make strides in artificial intelligence, to drive the age of intelligence with more meaningful innovation in smart devices.”
In addition, the Mate 9 also received eight media awards, including “The Best of CES 2017” from influential titles like the Wall Street Journal and TechAdvisor. As well as “The Best Smartphone” by Connect, a leading German magazine covering all aspects of the communications market.
