Based on a statement by letsgodigital, it seems that a patent from Huawei may have been leaked, hinting that they might be working on a smartphone equipped with a periscope zoom lens as well as an in-display camera sensor. While there is no official information in regards to the Malaysia release date, this does signify that Huawei doesn’t seem to be backing down from the smartphone business yet.
To go into more detail, it seems that there were about 24 product images included with the patent showcasing the potential placements for the quad-camera setup in the rear. With all that said, do take some of the information with a grain of salt, due to the fact that Huawei has yet to provide an official statement on the leak.
