If you were unaware, IFA 2022 kicked off late last night. On the first night, HONOR confirmed the global availability of several products already available in Malaysia. But that's not all, as the company also introduces the new version of its operating system - MagicOS 7.0.

During the keynote, HONOR announced MagicOS 7.0 as a new version that will provide a seamless cross-platform and cross-device experience. It's not only compatible with HONOR's Android devices but also Windows PCs and IoT operating systems. That means that OS will run on these devices at the system level. The company will officially roll out the new OS in Q4 2022.

Besides changes to the user interface, MagicOS 7.0 will let users control HONOR smartphones, tablets, and laptops using a single keyboard and mouse. That's usually done via a proprietary app but will be doable in the new version via Microsoft's Phone Link app. The HONOR Magic4 Pro will be the first to support Phone Link, followed by the HONOR 70 in a later update. In addition, the new version will feature an upgraded Health app with a customisable user interface.

It sounds like the HONOR MagicOS 7.0 will be a notable upgrade. But we'll have to wait for the rollout to see what's changed. With that said, what new features are you expecting to see? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news about this.
