It's been some time since Instagram first launched IGTV, a separate app for longer videos, and it looks like the company is now looking to cash in. Yup, Instagram has announced that ads will be coming to IGTV. But the good news for some is that the company is willing to share the revenue.

In the official post, Instagram announced that creators will now be able to earn money through Instagram Live and IGTV. One of the methods is via badges that viewers can buy during a live video. By buying one, viewers can unlock extra features or have their comments be easier to notice thanks to special icons.

Ads for IGTV will start rolling out next week too, according to Instagram. You will see the ads when you click on an IGTV video. It'll be a short clip of up to 15 seconds, making it similar to the way YouTube ads work. Instagram didn't give many details on the revenue sharing, but it'll most likely be based on clicks.

Besides that, Instagram also introduced the Live Shopping feature recently, which lets users and brands tag products during live videos. However, like IGTV ads and badges, this feature isn't available in Malaysia yet.

But with that said, would you be keen on earning money using the new features if it becomes available here? Let us know on our Facebook page and stay tuned to TechNave.com for more news.
