Local custom laptop brand ILLEGEAR has announced the release of two new high-end laptops. The ONYX Pro and SELENITE Pro offer are made for both professional work and gaming, providing a bevvy of features that enable them to do well in both. Prices start from RM6499 to RM8197, though you can get a 5% discount if you pay by cash.
Both laptops come with magnesium alloy frames, making them lightweight and durable. In fact, the ONYX Pro and SELENITE Pro weigh 1.5kg and 2kg. That's quite light, considering their 15.6-inch and 17.3-inch sizes. They're reasonably slim too at 18mm and 19mm in thickness, respectively.
In terms of base tech specs, the two laptops will come with Intel's 9th Gen Core i7-9750H CPU, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060/2070 GPU, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and 512GB of NVMe SSD storage. For the display, both come with Full HD IPS displays that have a 240Hz refresh rate. The ONYX Pro even has a variant with a 4K AMOLED display, perfect for professionals who need the higher resolution. More details can be found on the website.
Besides its high-end internal hardware, the ONYX Pro and SELENITE Pro also have other features. Among them is the RGB-backlit keyboard with 4-zone programmable RGB, fancy LED bar on the front, a large trackpad, and a USB port that supports fast-charging for smartphones (except for iPhones).
