The Land Public Transport Agency (APAD) has issued a termination notice against InDrive Malaysia for its Intermediation Business License (IBL). Furthermore, the company was given a 3 months deadline for failing to comply with regulations introduced in 2019.
InDrive Malaysia has since issued a statement on the matter, saying that it is "currently engaging with relevant regulatory authorities to seek further clarification" from APAD. As reported by Bernama, the Russian e-hailing company asserted that it has "proactively reached out to the relevant agencies to understand the situation better and take the necessary actions".
Moreover, InDrive Malaysia assures that it is committed to providing safe, reliable and accessible mobility solutions to the tens of thousands of people across Malaysia who rely on its platform daily. The company will provide updates once it receives further clarification from the authorities.
