Infinix Note 30 VIP will feature new 3D Lighting Leather tech

The Infinix Note 30 series launched a few months ago was marketed as a budget gaming phone series. And what do many gaming-related products have? RGB lighting! Sure, it's not something you often see on mobile devices. But Infinix could have it in the upcoming Infinix Note 30 VIP.

According to GSMArena, Infinix introduced a new 3D Lighting Leather technology, a lighting tech that pairs coloured LED lights with leather back covers. To be precise, the LEDs will be placed under a layer of translucent TPU leather, transparent fibreglass, lightproof paint layer, and light guide film. The LEDs sit under the light guide film that guides (duh) the light source through the other layers.

Effectively, the tech allows smartphones to have RGB LEDs shining through. For example, red lights are shining through the edges and parts of the back cover of the Infinix device - likely the Infinix Note 30 VIP - in the image. The 3D Lighting Leather tech will also react to specific audio effects and device prompts, such as notifications. In a way, this is similar to the LED lights in the Nothing Phone (2). The difference here is the back cover, which isn't transparent.

Of course, adding LED lighting could lead to reduced battery life. But this could be something that RGB enthusiasts would appreciate. What do you think? Let us know in the comments below, and stick around with TechNave for more news like this.
