Insta360 may soon be introducing a drone with a 360-degree camera

Although 360-degree cameras have not really taken off, it's a niche category of products that many find useful. According to TechradarInsta360 has something to show for CES 2020, which falls on 7 January 2020 next week. A 30-second teaser video was released to give us a hint of what is to come and it looks quite wild.

From the descriptions in the teaser, Insta360's next camera blends a flying drone, an action camera, a 360-degree camera, and a 1-inch camera together. If you take that at face value, it would mean the new product would be a flying drone that can be equipped with a camera with 3 different camera technologies. It would make sense, considering that the video mentions a drone and not just a blend of different cameras. Of course, this is just our speculation.

Moreover, a Japanese leaker seems to have some info on what the new camera could be. In a Twitter post, Nokishita claims that it is called the Insta360 One R. The image posted depicts an Insta360 camera with multiple parts, including two camera modules and a battery grip, that attach to each other.

Is this actually what Insta360 would be announcing? We're not sure but we'd like to read your thoughts on this on our Facebook page. For more news like this, stay tuned to TechNave.com.
