Instagram could be working on letting users post directly from desktop

If you are an Instagram user, you must have hoped that the desktop site would let you do more. Currently, users can only interact with posts or edit your profile. But that could change, with the company possibly adding post creation.

According to Alessandro Paluzzi, Instagram seems to have started to test the ability to create and edit posts directly from the desktop site. The leaker posted screenshots of the new feature in action. You can add images from your PC, select the crop size, and add filters to the image you want to post.

Mind you, it's not impossible to post images to Instagram via desktop even now. For those who are unaware, you can actually connect your Instagram account to your Facebook account. After that, you could use Creator Studio to post to Instagram. However, you don't get to add filters or stickers using this method. Personally, I also find Creator Studio a terrible platform and would rather not use it.

Allegedly, the feature is still under internal testing, so it probably won't be available anytime soon. But what do you think about this? Is posting from the desktop something you'd prefer to have? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
