If you're an Instagram content creator, here's some good news. In case you haven't heard, Instagram just got an upgrade to Stories. Previously, you could only upload clips of up to 15 seconds. But with the new update, creators can now upload videos 4 times the length.

That's right, the update allows Instagram users to upload Stories of up to 60 seconds. The company confirmed that this is a global update, so you should be able to do so on the app now. According to TechCrunch, Instagram has been testing this update since late last year. Video posts between 60 seconds and 15 minutes will be uploaded as an Instagram Reel instead.

As the source points out, this move blurs the lines between Stories and Reels. If users wanted slightly longer videos, uploading them as an Instagram Reel would be better. Of course, people who want to post GIFs or a series of photos should still use Stories. After all, Instagram Reels are only for videos.
