Instagram's Reels was previously seen as a TikTok rip-off, but users might care less about that now as the platform has witnessed a substantial growth. To bring an even better experience, Instagram has revealed a few new features, including bumping up the time limit to 90 seconds.

Before this, users were only allowed to record up to 60 seconds of Reels. Compared to TikTok, it's still not a big upgrade as the competitor already allows up to 10 minutes. Furthermore, Instagram has introduced access to enhanced sound effects library. Users can also import their own audio now, with the ability to grab audio from an existing video clip on their phones and import it to Reels. Interactive stickers support is available now as well, plus the creation of polls.

The source says that the most useful feature among the new ones could be this one called 'Templates'. It will allow users to sync clips easily with music and video. The template will basically pre-load audio and clip placeholders, allowing the ability to add and trim own clips.
