With waves of news about Amber Heard losing the court case against Johnny Depp, there is also other news regarding AMBER. And no, it's not the actress again but rather AMBER Alerts launching on Instagram. This new function will help people to see and share notices of missing children in their area.

For those who don't know, AMBER Alerts has been around since 2015 on Facebook and it was a successful feature to locate missing children. Now making its debut on Instagram, the alert functions include important details of a missing child such as a photo, description, the abducted location and other available information.

It's important to note that your IG profile, IP address and location services must be turned on to use AMBER Alerts. This feature will be activated by law enforcement and if you are in your designated search area, it will appear on your Instagram feed. You may share the alert as aforementioned to spread awareness.

Malaysia happens to be part of the first wave of the rollout update. AMBER Alerts was co-developed with National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) in the US, the International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children, the National Crime Agency in the UK, the Attorney General’s Office in Mexico, the Australian Federal Police and more.

That's all, folks. Make sure you update your Instagram to the latest version on the Apple App and Google Play Store. Stay safe and stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
