Ever since people are staying at home to help curb the spread of`12 COVID-19, scrolling through your Instagram feed has been something you do alone throughout the day to keep yourself entertained. But recently, Instagram has rolled out the new Co-watching feature to help users feel less lonely by having a virtual gathering with their friends and families.

The new feature does not just allow users to chat on video with groups to browse through posts that they liked or saved in their Instagram feed but also allows participants of the video call to view their friends’ Instagram recommendations. This will give them a chance to talk about different posts on photos and videos to make the group feel more connected to each other.

Instagram also will start featuring a “Stay Home” on all the shared stories posts to help users practice social distancing during this period of time.
