Meta-owned social media platform Instagram is introducing a new feature soon, which involves Polls. Currently under testing, users can soon create Polls in the comments section of an Instagram post.

As reported by Android Headlines, this was confirmed by Instagram chief Adam Mosseri, who also shared a screenshot of the new feature in action. Based on the screenshot, Polls in comments section works exactly like how it is on Stories, whereby you can see the percentage of each option after voting.

While it is currently under testing, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has confirmed that the feature will be “rolling out to everyone soon”. We could definitely see the feature being useful to attract more engagement on an Instagram post, though it does make the comments section a bit too cluttered. Funnily enough, Polls would’ve made more sense on Threads, but there’s no word of it being added to the platform any time soon.
