Instagram has been fighting against online bullying since last year by introducing the AI system.Today, the company has rolled out a new feature on the AI system which will be warning the users to change the caption whenever the AI detects it as a “potentially offensive” caption.
The new feature was similar to the comments filtration tool that was introduced back in July which requested people to reconsider while posting hurtful comments, then came along the “Restrict” feature that allows users to shadow ban their bullies. These features gave promising results on the company’s goal of fighting against online bullying.

However, the new feature does not ban users from posting what was initially detected as a “potentially offensive” caption but rather encourage them to change it as it will still give them options of posting it unchanged. Instagram mentioned it is starting on selected countries for now, but it will soon be rolling out globally in the coming months.
