Based on a statement by TheVerge.com, it seems that Instagram has recently announced that they will show suggested posts from accounts you don’t follow as well as ads at the end of your feed. Before this, if you were to scroll to the end of your feed, Instagram will show older posts that you’ve been before.
With that said, this could encourage users to stay hooked onto the platform for longer. Also, it seems that the suggested posts feature works functions in a completely different way compared to the Explore section, which means that posts from the Explore section will not show up in the suggested post.
