If you thought the only devices Redmi makes are easy on the pockets smartphones, you’re about to be proven wrong. Redmi India announced on Twitter a brand new addition to their Redmi K20 series, the Redmi K20 Pro Signature Edition which is priced at Rs.480000 (~RM28716).

The tweet is captioned with “Not gold plated, it’s made of real gold and embellished with diamonds.” Only 20 of these luxurious and over the top devices will be sold in India. If you aren’t up to speed, the Redmi K20 Pro features tech specs that include the Snapdragon 855 chipset, 8GB RAM + 256 GB internal storage (other variants are available), a 6.39 inch AMOLED display, an in-display fingerprint reader, 4000mAh battery capacity with 27W fast charging and more. As for its camera, it comes with a 20MP selfie camera nestled in the pop up mechanism and as for its rear camera, it comes with 3 sensors that include 48MP + 13MP (ultrawide) + 8MP telephoto sensor.

The standard device sells for about USD$400 (~RM1645). Of course, the Signature edition of the Redmi K20 Pro is definitely justifiable for its price. I mean, it's made of real gold and diamonds! Will this phone sell out? Probably. If you didn’t know, gold is a symbol of wealth and status in India which is why the phone is made specifically for that country.
