Intel recently announced their 2nd generation Neural Compute Stick 2 for $99 (~RM414). Designed for developers looking to take advantage of Artificial Intelligence or AI deep learning prototyping, it offers up to 8X better performance compared to the original Intel Movidius Neural Compute Stick.
Utilizing the Intel Distribution OpenVINO toolkit, the Neural Compute Stick 2 works with any USB port without any need for a cloud compute connection. Already in use to identify bacteria in water for CleanWater AI, it should offer AI solution developers a faster way to make smarter apps.
Unfortunately, when we reached out to Intel, the Neural Compute Stick 2 is not officially available here in Malaysia.
