In this current age, most PC brand manufacturers are beginning to get rid of USB Type-A ports in favour of Thunderbolt ports on newer laptops. Thunderbolt ports have proven to be effective and fast in transferring but it doesn't stop there, an Intel executive recently just tweeted an image of the upcoming dubbed Thunderbolt 5 which is in development now.
For those who aren't familiar with Thunderbolt 4, it can transfer speeds up to 40Gbps. As for the Thunderbolt 5, the allegedly leaked from Twitter may be capable of reaching 80Gbps. That's twice as much as its predecessor but of course, since it's still in development, the speed is inconclusive.

The missing picture in the Twitter post
If you are wondering what was seen in the deleted tweet picture, sources reported that the leaked image showed some key information under the codename "USB 80G". The tweet post is still online, whilst it doesn't mention anything about Thunderbolt 5 but it was a lab tour about the technology. The leaked photo also showcased some explanation of a "novel PAM-3 modulation technology", signalling a different approach to the unannounced Thunderbolt 5 feature.
We think it may take a long time for Thunderbolt 5 to be properly introduced. So until then, do stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
