Intel has confirmed that its upcoming thin and light laptop processor, Panther Lake, will be built using its 18A process from start to finish. Recently, at the Embedded World 2025 event, Intel once again showed off the processor up close and confirmed the model name it will be given. So, what should you know about it?

For your information, the Intel Core Ultra 300 will once again come with a new CPU and GPU combination build, offering up to 16 cores (compared to 8 on the Intel Core Ultra 200 Lunar Lake), which will apparently consist of four P-Core cores, eight E-Core cores and four LP-Core cores.

Additionally, this series of processors will also feature Intel's Arc Celestial graphics processor, or Intel Xe3, and like Intel Lunar Lake, it will be the first series of processors to see it used as a built-in graphics chip. It is reported that the most powerful Panther Lake model will come with 12 Xe3 cores when it launches.

Moreover, it is expected to come with 12 PCIe 5.0 lanes and will have a performance of 180 AI TOPS, making it, to date, the consumer-grade processor chip with the highest built-in AI capabilities. Similar to Intel Lunar Lake before it,

Intel will likely officially introduce this processor chip in the middle of this year, and laptops powered by it will arrive on the market shortly after.
