There was a recent report by WinFuture.de which seems to hint that Qualcomm could be collaborating with Leica to develop the next generation flagship Snapdragon chipset which comes equipped with a module with the codename Leica 1. While not much is known in regards to the official name of the chipset in question, our source did hint that it is currently developed under the model number SM8450 for now.

As of now, the developer samples are currently running on 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM as well as 256GB UFS memory. With all that said, do take most of the information stated with a grain of salt, due to the fact that Qualcomm and Leica have yet to provide an official statement on the leak.

Not only that, but there’s also no news on which smartphone will come equipped with the chipset in question, as well as when it will be available in the local market. With all that said, what are your thoughts on Qualcomm and Leica working together to develop the next Snapdragon chipset?
