Is the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) their first triple rear camera smartphone?

Leaked images of what could be the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) have appeared showing a triple rear camera setup. Found by leakster @rquandt on belsimpel.nl, the images clearly show a single front camera as well, indicating that this could be the 4x Fun smartphone Samsung is reportedly announcing on 11 October 2018 (as in 4x cameras, so maybe no quad rear cameras just yet). We think that the triple cameras will include dual rear cameras that have a bokeh effect while the other will include either a wide angle or telephoto/zoom effect.

No other tech specs were revealed apart from the images but it seems clear that it is at least a HD+ or FHD+ display with an 18.5:9 or above aspect ratio. Perhaps it could be running the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 or at least the Snapdragon 660 or 636 chipsets which would mean some measure of AI features to go with the triple rear cameras.

Quite obviously, no specific Malaysia release dates or pricing details were revealed. However, a recent save-the-date from Samsung Malaysia revealed that we could be seeing this 4x Fun smartphone here in Malaysia as early as 11 October 2018 (same date as the rest of the world!). It could also be just an invitation to watch the online event, but we'll see when we get there.

As usual, take these leaks and observations with a pinch of salt as nothing really official has been announced as of yet. Do stay tuned to TechNave.com as we’ll be there on hand at the aforementioned Samsung Malaysia 4x Fun event to see if it could indeed be the triple rear camera Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018).
