June has passed by and we are now in the second half of 2019. But did you also know way back on 1 July 1979, it was the first time that Sony launched the WALKMAN music player? As of 1 July 2019, this marks as Sony WALKMAN's 40th anniversary and they are having a #throwback at its product throughout the years.

Apparently, Sony has opened a gallery exhibition at Tokyo for fans and consumers who had them before. According to sources, the exhibition features 230 variants so think of it as a museum of WALKMANs. Also just a bit of history, it was designed by Sony co-founder, Masaru Ibuka and ever since then, over 400 million units were sold globally. Oh yes, it was so revolutionary that it changed the way we live our lifestyle. From what was first enjoyed only in indoors with vintage music recorders to carrying portable music players in our pockets. Honestly, it would be really cool if they have it in Malaysia as well.
