When getting a pair of true wireless earbuds, some may find it troubling to decide between an 'open design' or a 'closed design'. Open design basically refers to those that sit just above your aural opening, while the closed design allows you to fit them closely with the tips to block out outside noise. If you're still struggling to make up your mind, JBL has a new offering that serves both experiences.

The new transformable JBL Tune Flex sports an open design but still comes with ear-sealing tips for passive noise cancellation, with the company calling it Sound Fit technology. Not just passive isolation, but the pair also comes equipped with six levels of active noise cancellation (ANC). You can also use it with the tips removed, though sound quality might differ.

Other features of the JBL Tune Flex include eight hours of battery life plus an extra 24 hours from the charging case, and that's with ANC off. There is also an IPX4 splash-resistant rating, Google Assistant support for hands-free controls, with three finishes plus three 'Ghost' special edition colour options. It will be available from September for £90 (~RM410), which is a good price point.
