The Road Transport Department (JPJ) has announced that road users in the country can convert their probationary driving license (PDL) to the competent driving licence (CDL) through the MyJPJ app starting tomorrow (17 February). In a statement, JPJ director-general Datuk Aedy Fadly Ramli asserted that this new feature will benefit some 2.38 million ‘P’ driving license holders.
He added that the feature aims to facilitate the public's application for a CDL online without the need to visit a JPJ counter. Furthermore, PDL holders can apply for CDL through the MyJPJ app anytime and anywhere using their smartphones.

Aedy elaborated that applicants can download or update the MyJPJ app before logging in. They can then select the relevant menus and pay the application fees, after which they will receive a notification about their application status.
