The Malaysian Road Transport Department (JPJ) has launched a cashless payment method via e-wallet at all JPJ counters nationwide using the Touch 'n Go, GrabPay, MAE or Boost applications. So, what should you know about it?
A faster and more practical way
For your information, the launch ceremony was officiated by YBhg. Dato' Aedy Fadly bin Ramli, Director-General of Road Transport Malaysia, at JPJ Galeria. He said:
"This initiative is faster, safer and more practical, and in line with today's lifestyle."
Additionally, JPJ announced that they had successfully collected RM5.6 billion through 46.5 million cashless transactions through counters and the MyJPJ application until 24 August 2025.
Of that amount, 245,626 transactions were made via e-wallets with a total value of RM19.6 million. There are no further details on the news. So, we should wait for more announcements from JPJ
