Director-general of the Road Transport Department (JPJ), Datuk Aedy Fadly Ramli has announced that upgrading works are currently ongoing for the MyJPJ app due to high demand from users. This follows the implementation of the Special Malaysian Driving Licence (LMM) Transition Programme from Class B2/B1 to Class B (high-powered motorcycles), prompting many to check their eligibility.

Bernama quoted Aedy as saying that the upgrade is being carried out to ensure maximum accessibility for eligibility checks for Malaysians eligible to apply at selected driving institutes nationwide. He added that alternatively, Class B2/B1 LMM holders can check their eligibility for this special programme through the public mySIKAP portal at https://public.jpj.gov.my or at their nearest JPJ counters.

If eligible, applicants can then visit any of the selected institutes nationwide to participate in the programme. Accordingly, 180 out of 244 driving institutes nationwide have agreed to offer this programme. Based on feedback, the JPJ DG said MyJPJ experienced high demand and issues, hence he urged the public to remain patient.
