Jabra Elite 5 Malaysia release: Hybrid ANC, Qualcomm QCC3050 SoC and IP55 rating at RM699

Jabra Malaysia today released the Jabra Elite 5 for the local market, its latest addition to its true wireless earbuds lineup. Featuring Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), Bluetooth multipoint as well as IP55 dust and water resistance. 

The earbuds are powered by the Qualcomm QCC3050 Bluetooth SoC which enables the aforementioned Hybrid ANC feature. Moreover, the Hybrid ANC also incorporates feedback microphones within the ear and feedforward microphones on the exterior.

Jabra claims that the ANC performance is less sensitive to how users position the earbuds in the ear, hence ensuring a more reliable noise cancellation across a wider range of frequencies. In addition, the Elite 5 enable individuals to take calls with confidence thanks to its 6-microphone call technology with external mics that are active all the time. 

In terms of sound quality, the earbuds are fitted with 6mm speakers, support Qualcomm aptX Audio, AAC and SBC codecs, as well as a customisable EQ. Jabra also teamed up with Spotify to offer users Spotify Tap Playback with the Elite 5.

As for its design, the earbuds offer a discreet, comfortable and compact fit. It’s also practical too with enhanced connectivity, including Bluetooth Multipoint, Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift pair, Google Assistant and Alex  Built-In activated through voice.

Jabra claims that the Elite 5 can last up to 7 hours with ANC turned on and 28 hours with its case. Speaking of which, the charging case supports wireless charging. In Malaysia, the Elite 5 comes in either Titanium Black or Gold Beige and is priced at RM699.
