Under the Jendela Initiative, it seems that around 839 locations across 8 Malaysian states will be getting broadband access service via Satellite by October 2021. The locations mentioned comprised mostly of rural areas and Orang Asli settlements that are relatively hard to access and deploy effectively.

Once the satellite has been fully deployed, it will provide free WiFi access with an average speed of up to 35Mbps to each location. Unfortunately, there’s no exact information in regards to which area will be the first to get the broadband access service for now.
