The Johor state government has now announced that it will start offering “WiFi Premium Maju Johor” (Johor Advanced Premium WiFi) from July 2024. This will be in effect in around 23 locations in the state. That includes 63 hotspots. That said, what should you know about it?
For your information, similar services have been offered since before, but this new update will come with a minimum speed of 1Gbps at each location. Thanks to this effort, it will benefit Johorean. This is in parallel to the development of the digital economy arena.
Moreover, the Johor state government will introduce this offer in four hospitals, namely Sultanah Aminah Hospital (HSAJB), Sultan Ismail Hospital (HSI), Sultanah Nora Ismail Hospital (HSNI) Batu Pahat and Enche Besar Hajjah Kalsom Hospital (HEBHK) Kluang. Besides the hospitals, the same offer will also be extended to the education sector, and several other locations in the state of Johor.
Moreover, this initiative is expected to benefit more than 12,000 families, especially in 25 PPR (People's Housing Program) hotspot areas. Hopefully, everything goes smoothly for this initiative. After all, everyone in Johor deserves a stable internet connection.
