Annuar elaborated that his ministry has given a guiding principle to the MOF secretary-general for the devices. The K-KOMM minister requested for something that is already in the market that the people recognises and from an established, ‘premium’ brand with the appropriate capacity and functions.

It is also revealed that MOF is expected to complete the procurement process and issue the letter of award to the selected vendor by next week. As for the specs of the devices, Annuar said that he has been avoiding giving specific details because MOF is currently calling out for tender, hence only a minimum specs requirement were announced.

This will incentivise bidders for to offer something more than just the mere minimum in order to get the tender. Hence, Annuar said that he will only give out detailed specs when the procurement process is completed.
