The Ministry of Communications and Digital (KKD) has announced that prepaid package users will enjoy free additional internet quota and cashback in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations. Its Minister, Fahmi Fadzil elaborated that this is applicable for a certain period until 31 May 2023.
In a statement, Fahmi elaborated that this initiative is a collaboration between KKD via the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) and telco service providers. Here are some of the free internet quotas being offered by telco companies as part of the initiative:
- Maxis: 100GB bonus with HotlinkMU Internet plan (validity period of 4 days, valid until 15 May 2023)
- CelcomDigi: 555GB HD video plan for RM5 to browse videos (validity period of 4 days, valid until 15 May 2023)
- UMobile: 10GB bonus with Pakej Perpaduan (valid until 31 May 2023)
- Unifi Mobile: RM5 cashback with 4G/5G prepaid internet plans, with RM35 unlimited 4G and 5G data and unlimited calls for 30 days (valid until 5 May 2023)
Fahmi added that the facilities provided are subject to the terms and conditions of the service providers. Moreover, he hoped that this facility can be fully utilised by prepaid package users in conjunction with this festive season.
