KKD announces Pakej Perpaduan prepaid plan, 30GB for RM30 with 180 days validity

The Ministry of Communications and Digital (KKD) today announced the Pakej Perpaduan prepaid mobile internet plan, an expansion to the Youth Package introduced by the previous government. The prepaid plan is now available for youths aged 30 and below, those from the B40 category, persons with disability (PwD), senior citizens and Army veterans. 

Set for introduction in February 2023, the package offers discounted prices compared to current packages available in the market. Moreover, this package is priced at RM30 for internet speeds between 1Mbps to 3Mbps with a 30GB internet quota and a validity period of 180 days. 

In a statement, KKD Minister Fahmi Fadzil said that Pakej Perpaduan is a basic plan and it is up to telco companies to offer add-on services to the package. The five telcos that will be offering this prepaid plan are CelcomDigi, Maxis, U Mobile, Telekom Malaysia (TM) and YTL Communications (Yes). 

Fahmi further elaborated that the aforementioned telco companies will provide more information regarding Pakej Perpaduan in the near future. So, do stay tuned for each respective telco’s announcements.
